Zusammenfassung

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects in CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will work with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists to develop risk assessments, QA plans, and sampling strategies while contributing to proposals and client engagements. Travel is 10% or less.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Science with registration/certification, or Master's degree in Science.
• 7 years of related experience in environmental consulting, regulation or a similar field.
• Travel may be required; frequency depends on duties and workload.
• Equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with risk assessments and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Support site investigations and analysis for human health and ecological risk assessments.
• Develop DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs with project teams.
• Assist with planning exposure models and risk assessments (CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs).
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists to select project approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff; support client meetings.
• Contribute to proposals and develop white papers on environmental topics.
• Present at conferences to raise the visibility of CDM Smith's services.
• Perform other duties as required.
