Job summary

RECON is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to plan and oversee environmental remediation and earthwork projects. You will supervise crews, manage equipment, and coordinate subcontractors onsite while upholding RECON's safety and quality standards.

Candidates should bring 10+ years in construction with 5+ years in field supervision and mining experience, plus a high school diploma. Willingness to travel to project sites within Mountain/Pacific time zones is expected.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in construction with 5+ years direct field supervision.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the mining industry.
• Experience in earthwork, soil stabilization, remediation, landfill closure or mass excavation.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong safety knowledge for safe operation of earth-moving equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Able to work onsite in dusty, noisy environments and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise onsite crew and manage soil and earthwork execution per schedule and specs.
• Coordinate safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety plans and policies.
• Evaluate crew competencies to ensure safe operation of heavy equipment.
• Monitor performance, provide coaching, and address safety concerns.
• Generate daily reports and track production with accuracy.
• Prepare and track daily time sheets for work activities.
• Maintain inventory of materials and equipment to meet deadlines and budget.
• Ensure work complies with quality standards and contract scope.
• Lead subcontractor integration to meet safety standards.
• Provide input on safety, productivity, quality, and project finances to PM.
