Job summary

GHD seeks a Senior Construction Manager to oversee on‑time delivery and budget management for multiple projects up to $250M each in the US West region. You will lead construction management across environmental, civil, and decommissioning initiatives, coordinating procurement and reporting while maintaining regulatory compliance and client relationships.

Requires 15+ years as a Construction Manager/Resident Engineer; CCM or PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years as a Construction Manager and/or Resident Engineer on multiple projects.
• CCM certification or PE license a plus.
• Experience with web-based document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction management for environmental, civil, and decommissioning projects in the US West.
• Manage project controls: budget plans and schedules; monitor budget progress and post‑calculations.
• Provide insights and reporting: design reporting strategies, lead complex reports, communicate findings to client teams.
• Collaborate on project development: lead procurement efforts, including proposals and interviews.
• Offer construction advice: regulations, best practice, constructability, cost evaluations, sequencing.
• Develop knowledge management: create policies, best practices, case studies, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Build personal capability: maintain external accreditations, stay current with regulations and industry best practices.
• Analyse bids and tenders: feasibility studies on RFP/RFT projects, review specifications.
• Ensure operational compliance: monitor and review performance to resolve non‑compliance.
• Manage client relationships: support senior colleagues or manage transactional client relationships.
