Job summary

GHD's Construction group is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead environmental, heavy‑civil and mining projects across the United States. You will manage project teams, ensure deadlines and budgets, and build client relationships to secure future work.

The role offers flexibility in location near a regional office with some travel to project sites. Responsibilities include pre‑bid activities, contract management, cost controls, cash flow, and HSE leadership on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years leading environmental, civil or mining construction projects.
• Experience with soil treatment, waterway remediation, site preparation, or earthwork.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to mentor staff.
• Experience with estimating and project management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of projects including pre-bid, start-up, contract management, and cost controls.
• Manage cash flow, material buy-out, subcontractors, and change orders.
• Prepare and coordinate weekly progress and monthly status reports using KPIs.
• Provide mentoring and training to project teams to ensure safety, quality and efficiency.
• Assist with bids/proposals and submitting invoices per contract terms.
• Maintain overall HSE responsibility for site personnel and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement Project HSE plans and ensure certifications and medical clearances.
• Meet Safety High Performance Habit Goals tracked by GPS.
