Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior engineer specializing in component environmental qualification for nuclear power plant projects. You will lead EQ activities, review reports, and coordinate testing across facilities while guiding junior staff.

The role involves collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and occasional travel to client and vendor sites to support design reviews and field verification.

Qualifications

• Essential skills include strong communication and teamwork.
• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Ten+ years of environmental qualification experience in nuclear plants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead component environmental qualification activities for 10CFR 50.49.
• Review qualification reports and develop specifications.
• Coordinate EQ testing and resolve anomalies with sites and vendors.
• Perform qualified life assessments and Arrhenius analyses.
• Guide less experienced project team members and collaborate across disciplines.
