Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Engineer/Geologist/Scientist Project Manager in Ewing, NJ to lead complex site investigations and remediation programs across diverse industries. You will mentor junior staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a strong background in CERCLA/RCRA programs, NJ licensure, and 6+ years of progressive remediation experience, with NJ specifics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 6+ (8+ years preferred with 5 years in New Jersey) of progressive experience in site investigation and remediation.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license in NJ or reciprocity
• New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) (active)
• Proven project management skills with CERCLA/RCRA/state program experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute complex site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation projects for clients in manufacturing, power, chemical, oil & gas, and technology sectors.
• Plan and oversee field activities including sampling, drilling, well installation, vapor intrusion assessments, and remedial construction.
• Analyze environmental data, develop conceptual site models, and prepare technical reports and work plans.
• Design and implement remediation strategies using traditional and emerging technologies.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with technical experts to deliver exceptional client value.
• Prepare winning proposals and actively participate in business development.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
