Job summary

ERM seeks a Principal Technical Consultant, Project Manager, Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to lead complex environmental projects from Ewing, NJ. You will mentor staff, manage CERCLA/RCRA investigations, and deliver technically rigorous remediation strategies across industries.

You’ll build client relationships, guide technical proposals, champion safety, and drive sustainable solutions while advancing careers of junior team members in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, or related (Master’s preferred).
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in site investigation/remediation (7–12 years preferred).
• PE or PG license in NJ or reciprocity—or ability to obtain soon.
• Proven project management skills with CERCLA/RCRA/state program experience.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute complex site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation projects for clients in manufacturing, power, chemical, oil & gas, and technology sectors.
• Plan and oversee field activities including sampling, drilling, well installation, vapor intrusion assessments, and remedial construction.
• Analyze environmental data, develop conceptual site models, and prepare technical reports and work plans.
• Design and implement remediation strategies using traditional and emerging technologies.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with technical experts to deliver exceptional client value.
• Prepare winning proposals and actively participate in business development.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
