Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Environmental to join its collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will lead environmental/engineering projects, perform research and analysis, and supervise field investigations and lab work, driving restoration and productive reuse of blighted properties while protecting the environment.

The role requires extensive experience with EPA/CERCLA/RCRA regulations, client and team leadership, and a track record of delivering complex projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science (Master’s preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.
• 10+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Strong people, project, and client management skills.
• Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software.
• Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses for portions of engineering and environmental projects.
• Identify and pursue new clients; develop work within projects; attend business development meetings.
• Provide oversight and management of junior staff; coach and train.
• Supervise field activities; ensure data collection and lab analyses are correctly performed; manage budgets and timelines.
• Prepare progress reports, change orders, and draft invoices; assist in collections.
• Write, edit reports and proposals; coordinate with other groups as needed.
