Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Staff Environmental Engineer, Scientist or Geologist to join our collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ or New York, NY. The role involves site exploration, soil borings, groundwater monitoring, data collection, and reporting to restore blighted properties while protecting the environment.

You will lead field investigations, supervise staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with clients and regulators on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of related experience in contaminated sites investigation, remediation design, and oversight.
• Proven ability to work on Phase I-III environmental site assessments and groundwater treatment projects.
• Proficiency in interpreting environmental regulations (CERCLA/RCRA) and coordinating with regulators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise field investigations, collect samples and data, and prepare reports.
• Monitor complex construction projects and ensure contractor compliance with specs.
• Lead engineering document preparation, including plans, cost estimates, and designs.
• Coordinate with client and subcontractors; manage budgets and schedules.
