Job summary

Trinity Consultants in San Diego seeks a Senior Planner to lead environmental review and planning projects under CEQA and NEPA from inception to completion. You will manage project teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and interface with clients and agencies.

The role requires a strong background in environmental planning, excellent writing and communication skills, and hands-on experience with CEQA/NEPA documentation. MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Four+ years of related experience and/or training; managing EIRs.
• Strong knowledge of CEQA Guidelines; project management experience.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Computer literacy including basic programming, word processing, spreadsheets, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of environmental review and planning projects in accordance with CEQA/NEPA and regulations.
• Develop scopes of work, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress against metrics.
• Manage client relations; provide guidance on compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and others.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to project teams; allocate resources and communicate openly.
• Mentor project staff and support career development with feedback.
• Oversee preparation and review of CEQA/NEPA documents; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on CEQA/NEPA changes and related laws.
• Facilitate public review processes and present at meetings/hearings.
