Meridian Consultants seeks a Principal Planning Manager to lead environmental planning and CEQA/NEPA efforts in Southern California. This senior role drives revenue growth through an established client network, directs multi-disciplinary teams, and ensures projects meet client objectives, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor staff, oversee complex environmental documents, and collaborate with Trinity California leadership to integrate planning services across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban or environmental planning required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive environmental planning experience with CEQA/NEPA document prep and leadership.
• Principal-level responsibility with business development, client relationships, and team leadership.

Responsabilités

• Grow the firm’s book of business by leveraging an established client network across public agencies and private development.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams; manage budgets, schedules, and resources for on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Provide strategic direction for CEQA/NEPA reviews and planning processes; ensure high-quality technical output.
• Mentor and develop staff; lead onboarding, training, and professional growth plans.
• Represent the firm at public hearings, scoping meetings, and agency negotiations.
