Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in environmental planning, surveys, fieldwork, permits.
  • Analytical skills and research methodologies.
  • Knowledge of environmental laws, permitting requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience leading and reviewing environmental planning reports and permit applications.
  • Coordination with clients, agencies and environmental staff.
  • Experience with NEPA compliance processes and documentation.
  • Strong self-leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with GIS, data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently with QA/QC discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or manage NEPA projects including CE, EA and EIS.
  • Prepare planning studies and NEPA documents for federal/state transportation projects.
  • Conduct multimodal planning studies for various clients.
  • Develop pre-NEPA, feasibility and supporting studies for environmental projects.
  • Lead data collection, research, documentation and analyses.
  • Use GIS for data analysis and map generation.
  • Assist with public outreach and stakeholder involvement.
  • Assist with business development and client relationships.
  • Assist with scopes of work, fee proposals and RFP responses.
