Job summary

Stantec’s Environmental Services practice seeks a Project Manager and Senior Environmental Permitter in Massachusetts to lead regulatory and permitting efforts, manage projects, and support business development. The role emphasizes delivering compliant permit strategies and coordinating with clients and agencies in the Boston area.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting in Massachusetts including regulatory coordination and permit application development.
• Desirable waterfront and in-water permitting experience for climate resiliency projects and infrastructure in the City of Boston.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, MEPA/CEPA, 401/404/408 of the Clean Water Act and related permits.
• Ability to present information effectively in public settings and meetings.
• 10+ years of project management and environmental permitting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify project-specific environmental regulatory requirements and coordinate with resource agencies.
• Develop and review environmental permit applications (federal, state, local) and manage related documents.
• Lead project management activities: proposals, budgets, teams, and client communications; support business development.
