Job summary

Stantec’s Environmental Services practice seeks a Project Manager and Senior Environmental Permitter with demonstrated experience in Massachusetts, to lead environmental regulatory and project permitting efforts, provide project and client management, and support business development opportunities.

The successful candidate must have extensive experience with environmental regulations, permitting, and coastal resilience planning, and will work on federal, state, and local permits in MA with a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree in environmental science, law degree, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ work experience in the consulting field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with waterfront and in-water permitting for climate resiliency projects and infrastructure in urban settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes including state and federal acts.
• Ability to present information effectively in public settings and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Identifying project-specific environmental regulatory requirements.
• Coordinating with resource agency personnel.
• Writing and reviewing technical reports.
• Developing environmental permit applications (federal, state, local).
• Presenting at public meetings.
• Facilitating successful environmental permitting of multiple and varied projects.
