Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead licensing and permitting for energy and infrastructure projects in New York State. The role emphasizes permitting strategy, client interaction, and mentorship of staff.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in environmental consulting or energy sectors, with strong NYSDEC/SEQR experience and a proven track record in client-facing project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, ecology or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or energy/infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated experience with New York State permitting, including NYSDEC and SEQR processes.
• Experience with renewable energy, electric transmission, or linear infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in a client-facing Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Lead permitting efforts under NYSDEC Articles 15 & 24, Article 94-c, Part 102, and Article VIII.
• Develop and manage permitting strategies, project schedules, and agency coordination.
• Interface directly with NYSDEC, USACE, DPS, and local regulatory agencies.
• Oversee wetland delineations, ecological surveys, and environmental compliance inspections.
• Represent clients at public hearings, stakeholder meetings, and regulatory forums.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal team development.
• Support proposal development and client relationship growth.
