Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in New York is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Environmental to lead complex environmental projects and proposals, supervise field investigations, and manage a team to restore blighted properties while protecting the environment.

You'll oversee project budgets, schedules, client relations, and business development while ensuring compliant, high-quality deliverables across diverse assignments in the New York area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.
• 10+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Strong people, project, and client management skills.
• Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses for portions of engineering and environmental projects.
• Identify and pursue new clients, develop additional work within existing projects, and attend business development meetings.
• Provide oversight and management of junior staff; coach, train, and motivate environmental teams.
• Supervise field activities and ensure correct data collection and laboratory analyses.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines; prepare reports and draft change orders.
• Organize, write, and edit reports, proposals, and documents.
• Coordinate work across offices and disciplines as needed.
• Interface with clients, contractors, staff, and other project personnel.
• Perform other duties as requested.
