RWE Americas, LLC in the United States seeks an Environmental Program Manager to lead regulatory permitting for a portfolio of renewable energy projects across multiple states.

This role requires NEPA expertise, state environmental reviews, and strong collaboration with Engineering, Legal, and Operations to ensure permits are obtained and compliance is maintained throughout construction and operation.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental programs, permitting and compliance, energy sector preferred.
• Experience with NEPA and state environmental reviews; ability to manage regulatory documentation.
• Ability to lead teams, manage complex regional issues, and coordinate with regulators and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME on environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and compliance obligations for federal and state programs.
• Collaborates with Project Development, Engineering, Legal, Construction, Operations, and external stakeholders to ensure permits and compliance.
• Oversees Environmental personnel supporting renewable energy projects across multiple states.
• Leads permitting strategies, schedules, and risk mitigation to support project development timelines.
• Coordinates environmental reviews, including NEPA and state processes, with agency coordination.
