Job summary

Enel North America is a renewables leader delivering clean energy solutions. We seek a Lead Environmental Engineer to drive environmental permitting, feasibility and monitoring for wind, solar, storage and hydro projects across the US and Canada.

You will coordinate with BD, Project Engineers and the Engineering Unit to ensure authorization compliance, manage external resources, and support project teams in environmental risk assessment and responsible planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering (or related field).
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in environmental engineering roles.
• Fluent English required; Italian or Spanish preferred.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Informatics: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS Software.

Responsibilities

• Address environmental topics across development, permitting and construction stages to ensure compliance with best practices and technical specs.
• Define and update technical specifications for environmental authorization documents.
• Provide technical support to colleagues to ensure compliance with environmental constraints and permitting paths.
• Manage external contractors for environmental assessment, monitoring and related activities on site.
• Contribute to Environmental Due Diligences, Feasibility Studies and Monitoring Plans for renewable projects.
