Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced environmental professional to review, evaluate, and implement regulatory requirements for major electric power, nuclear, and industrial projects. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop mitigation plans and ensure compliance from site selection to project completion.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in environmental compliance and permitting, with strong written and verbal skills, and the ability to coordinate inputs with clients and agencies

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MS preferred.
• Eight or more years of experience in environmental compliance, impact assessment, and/or permitting for complex industrial projects.
• Familiarity with NEPA, ESA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA.
• Experience with EIA/permitting, Title V, NPDES, wetlands, SWPPP/SPCC, and major source permitting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate inputs across teams and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and implement federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements for power and industrial projects.
• Develop strategies for mitigation and compliance; prepare site-specific environmental studies.
• Prepare permit matrices and permit applications; interface with regulatory agencies.
• Produce complex technical reports and assist with project teams and client needs.
• Travel to client offices and project sites; some international travel may be required.
