Job summary

Stantec is seeking a highly experienced environmental professional to lead pipeline and energy project permitting across the US. You will manage FERC-regulated projects, coordinate agency actions, and develop technical submissions while ensuring HSSE compliance and strong client engagement.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s or higher in Environmental Science with 7+ years in similar roles, including 5+ years in FERC permit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years work experience in a similar position.
• Minimum of 5 years direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications where required by federal, state or local environmental regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects across the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, Coastal Zone Management Act, and Section 106 Cultural Resources.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create technical documents and review documents supporting regulatory submissions.
• Support and ensure implementation of Health, Safety and Environment policies in project execution.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in project execution.
• Work as part of a larger midstream & energy permitting team with opportunities across multiple projects and offices.
