Job summary

Stantec in Houston is seeking an experienced Environmental Permitting Specialist to lead oil and gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition initiatives across the US. You will manage permit applications, agency coordination (FERC/NEPA, 404/10, CZMA, Section 106), and build strong client relationships while ensuring HSE compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or higher in Environmental Science and 7+ years of related experience, plus proven ability to work under pressure and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field and 7+ years in a similar role.
• Experience managing pipeline-related permit applications and agency coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition initiatives.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for FERC, NEPA, 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106 reviews.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create technical documents and reviews to support regulatory submissions.
• Support Health, Safety and Environment policies and coordinate with HSE during all project phases.
• Collaborate with other regulatory specialists to ensure consistency across projects.
• Contribute to multiple projects and offices nationwide as part of a larger team.
