Job summary

Stantec is seeking a qualified environmental professional to lead permitting for oil & gas midstream and energy transition projects across the United States. The role emphasizes coordination with agencies, development of regulatory documents, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field and 7+ years of experience, including 5+ years managing FERC applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years in a similar role.
  • Minimum 5 years direct experience preparing and managing FERC permit applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects in the US.
  • Manage permit applications and agency coordination for species, 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
  • Develop client relationships and support proposal development.
  • Create technical documents to support regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Environment policies are followed across all project phases.
  • Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists for consistent project execution.
  • Support multiple projects and offices nationwide.
