CDM Smith is seeking an engineer for our East Hartford team to contribute to meaningful drinking water and wastewater projects across Connecticut and the Northeast. You will work with a collaborative group where early-career engineers take ownership, gain technical expertise, and grow leadership skills, while partnering with experienced leaders and project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Support planning and design of drinking water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping, conveyance, and related infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions for municipal and utility clients.
• Manage portions of projects and lead specific technical tasks while supporting project managers in meeting scope, schedule, and budget goals.
• Participate in client meetings, field investigations, site visits, and design reviews.
• Contribute to proposal development and project pursuits.
• Mentor and collaborate with junior staff as your experience grows.
• Develop expertise in water and wastewater infrastructure while building a pathway toward project and task management responsibilities.
