Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Engineer focused on water and wastewater systems to join our Edison, NJ team. You will contribute to design, implementation, and optimization of treatment solutions that safeguard natural resources and promote sustainable water management for local communities.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales, and project teams, review designs for regulatory compliance, mentor junior staff, support proposals and client meetings, and participate in conferences to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
7 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Design water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, and pump stations to meet client needs.
Review designs for compliance with regs and sign off.
Ensure adherence to firm policies; conduct site reviews.
Perform water quality analyses and modeling.
Develop technical papers and designs for publishing.
Support sales with proposal development and client meetings.
Attend conferences to raise visibility of products and services.
Mentor junior staff and supervise project work.
Perform other duties as required.
