Job summary

CDM Smith, based in the United States, seeks an Environmental Engineer focused on water and wastewater systems to join our team in New Jersey. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of treatment solutions safeguarding water resources and supporting sustainable management practices.

You will collaborate on challenging projects, review designs for regulatory compliance, mentor junior staff, and assist in client proposals while engaging in travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering; PE license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, and related systems to meet client requirements.
• Review designs for compliance with regulations and sign off on completed designs.
• Conduct site reviews to ensure alignment with location specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and supervise as needed.
• Support proposal development for current and potential clients.
