Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to support our environmental remediation and permitting team in New Jersey. The role emphasizes project management, mentorship of EITs, and hands-on technical support for SPCC, soil, groundwater, and sediment projects.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license and 10–15 years of related experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mount Laurel, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of related experience.
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is required.
• A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required.
• Pre-employment physical is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop SPCC Plans, soil and erosion control plans, and remediation plans.
• Lead and prepare environmental assessments, remedial designs, permits and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors for analytical labs, locators, and drillers.
• Mentor EITs and staff and support client relationship development.
• Plan, design, and manage fieldwork for environmental projects.
