Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to support remediation and permitting projects in New Jersey. You will mentor EITs, provide technical leadership, and work independently or with teams on SPCC, soil, groundwater, and sediment projects.

You will coordinate fieldwork, manage client communications, and contribute to proposals and design efforts. A PE License and 10–15 years of related experience are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support program/project management for environmental remediation and permitting.
• Mentor EITs and other staff; provide technical guidance on SPCC, soil, groundwater, sediment remediation.
• Prepare project deliverables including environmental assessments, remedial designs, permits, and specs.
• Lead and participate in proposals: scope, budgeting, cost estimates, and sections.
• Coordinate subcontractors (labs, locators, drillers) and field staff.
• Collaborate with design teams to implement multi-discipline remediation solutions.
• Develop client relationships, identify opportunities, and support proposals and presentations.
• Assist with staff recruitment and mentorship.
