Job summary

Haley & Aldrich seeks an experienced environmental engineer to lead remediation projects across New Jersey and Pennsylvania from Princeton, NJ. You will manage design, permitting, cost control, and client relations, while mentoring staff to deliver high‑quality technical reports and deliverables.

The role requires a BS in civil/environmental engineering, 8–10 years of relevant experience, and a NJ P.E. license or reciprocity within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in civil or environmental engineering.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in environmental regulations, investigation, remediation design and compliance.
• New Jersey PE license required, or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of hire.
• Experience with design plans, permit applications and technical specifications for NJ remediation projects.
• Experience with NJDEP investigation/remediation processes.
• Strong project management, scheduling, cost control, and client relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to write/edit technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental remediation projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare proposals, project reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Oversee project lifecycle: scope, cost, schedule, subcontracting, and safety.
• Direct, coach, and develop staff for high-quality project execution.
• Plan and direct environmental field testing and design-phase documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, and partners to achieve objectives.
