Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join the Phoenix operation. You will lead environmental programs covering air, water, land, waste, and reclamation, while mentoring staff and coordinating with operations and regulators.

You will guide day-to-day compliance, oversee permitting and reporting, manage environmental risks, and push continuous improvement for safe, sustainable mining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field is required.
• Five years direct experience managing environmental compliance programs and projects; minimum three years in an industrial setting.
• Strong computer skills with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and develop positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental programs for air, water, land, waste, and reclamation.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with operations and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee permitting and reporting; manage environmental risks and continuous improvement.
• Manage reclamation permits, cost models, and trust funds.
• Coordinate with mine operations and supply chain for contracting and services.
• Ensure conformance with Plan of Operations, NEPA permitting, and ISO 14001/OSHA 45001 alignment.
