Job summary

MWC in St. Johns, MI seeks an Environmental Sr. Engineer to support the EHS Manager across safety, security, training and environmental programs. You will own environmental compliance, support PSM and wastewater, and serve as the regulatory contact with agencies while participating in on-call duties.

The role requires collaboration with all departments, development of training, and ongoing improvement of environmental performance. Join a team focused on safe and sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with 3+ years plant experience.
• Strong knowledge of air and water permitting, RCRA, GHG, sustainability.
• Ability to read regulatory documents and write routine reports.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hazard analyses and help management develop corrective action plans.
• Lead sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives and reporting.
• Collaborate with EHS specialists and plant safety committee on programs.
• Develop and maintain site training including emergency response and PSM.
• Coordinate permit modifications, reporting, and interactions with regulators.
