Job summary

SPG is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the site EHS team at a large, unionized manufacturing plant in Muskegon, Michigan. You will support environmental compliance activities and report to the Plant EHS Manager, helping ensure regulatory obligations are met.

Responsibilities include managing regulatory reports and permits, developing compliant processes, coaching line personnel, coordinating sampling and reporting to federal, state, and local agencies, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of plant environmental experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/chemical management.

A large, unionized manufacturing plant is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join its site EHS team. This role supports environmental compliance activities and reports directly to the Plant EHS Manager, playing a key part in ensuring the facility meets regulatory obligations.

What you'll do

• Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports, and permits with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management
• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulations
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State, and Local Regulatory Agencies
• Coordinate all environmental sampling, reporting, and follow-up
• Prepare and submit required reports and maintain associated recordkeeping
