Job summary

SPG is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the site EHS team at a large, unionized manufacturing plant in Muskegon, Michigan. You will support environmental compliance activities and report to the Plant EHS Manager, helping ensure regulatory obligations are met.

Responsibilities include managing regulatory reports and permits, developing compliant processes, coaching line personnel, coordinating sampling and reporting to federal, state, and local agencies, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of plant environmental experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/chemical management.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports, and permits with focus on water/wastewater/stormwater or waste/SPCC/chemical management.
• Develop and maintain processes to ensure permit/regulation compliance.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit environmental reports to federal, state, and local agencies.
• Coordinate environmental sampling, reporting, and follow-up.
• Prepare and submit required reports and maintain records.
