Job summary

Sterling St James LLC seeks an Environmental Compliance professional to join our site EHS team in Muskegon. The role focuses on regulatory reporting, permit management, and ensuring adherence to environmental standards across water/wastewater and related programs.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a related technical field and at least two years of plant environmental experience. You will mentor line personnel and coordinate sampling, reporting, and recordkeeping for regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a related technical field and at least 2 years of environmental experience.
• Experience managing permits and regulatory reporting for environmental programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinate all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up;
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.

Job description

Must have at least (2) years of plant environmental experience and a Bachelor of Science in related technical field only!

Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports and permits as related with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

Position will be a member of the site EHS team, report into the Plant EHS Manager and support environmental compliance activities for a large, union manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.

Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.

Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.

Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up;
