Job summary

Glanbia Nutritionals, Inc. in St. Johns, MI, seeks an Environmental Senior Engineer to support EHS Manager in safety, compliance, and environmental programs. This role acts as the regulatory contact for PSM, boilers, wastewater, and sustainability, with on-call duties as needed.

You will work across departments to drive environmental performance, develop training, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of plant experience in related industry, environmental management or utility/waste water operations.
• Strong knowledge of air and water permitting, RCRA, GHG, sustainability and regulatory interactions.
• Ability to read/interpret PSM regulations and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Performs hazard analyses and supports action plans for safety, environmental, and sustainability improvements.
• Leads sustainability and environmental initiatives, compliance, risk assessment and reporting.
• Collaborates with EHS Specialist/Manager on safety programs and plant safety committee activities.
• Develops and maintains training programs and promotes an EHS culture.
• Communicates with regulators and legal teams; coordinates permit modifications and reporting.
• Keeps records compliant with local, state, and federal laws and supports continuous improvement.
