Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Lead Consultant in the New England data centers practice to coordinate due diligence, site feasibility, and early-stage development planning. You will work with project managers, engineers, and clients to manage scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables across Boston, Hartford, Portland, or Westford.

The role requires a civil engineering background, 3+ years of consulting experience, and strong writing/communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of relevant consulting experience in civil/site development or related fields.
• Working knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, earthwork, and permitting; interpretation of site plans and Civil 3D drawings.
• Strong technical writing, organization, communication, problem-solving, and client-service skills; CAD/Civil 3D/Bluebeam/GIS experience; EIT or PE credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support subject matter experts in delivering data center due diligence by assisting with scope, schedule, budget, staffing, deliverables, and client expectations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams, maintain project schedules, track information requests, and provide status updates for timely execution.
• Review site development concepts, master plans, test fits, constraints, utilities, grading, stormwater, permitting, to support due diligence recommendations.
• Prepare and quality-review client-ready reports, risk summaries, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and technical deliverables across multiple projects.
