Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation is seeking a Lead Consultant to join our New England Data Centers practice. This hybrid role can be based in Boston, Hartford, Portland, or Westford, MA, supporting hyperscale and mission-critical developments across North America.

You will serve as an assistant project manager for data center projects, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and reviewing master plans, site access, grading, utilities, and earthwork to inform due diligence decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of consulting experience in civil/site development, due diligence, or land development.
• Experience with site development principles, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, earthwork, and interpretation of conceptual site plans.
• Strong technical writing, organization, communication, problem-solving, and client-service skills; familiarity with CAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, GIS; EIT or PE credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support subject matter experts in delivering complex data center due diligence assignments by assisting with scope, schedule, budget, staffing, deliverables, and client expectations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams, maintain project schedules, track action items and information requests, and provide status updates to ensure timely project execution.
• Review site development concepts, including master plans, test fits, civil/site constraints, utilities, grading, stormwater management, permitting considerations, and other technical factors to support due diligence recommendations.
• Prepare and quality-review client-ready reports, risk summaries, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and technical deliverables while supporting multiple concurrent data center projects and site visits.
