Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a Department Manager for Environmental Due Diligence and Compliance to oversee the EDDC department, manage technical staff, and ensure delivery of high-quality environmental reports across commercial, industrial, and public sectors. The role demands deep regulatory knowledge, leadership, and strong client interaction.

The position involves interfacing with corporate leadership, handling budgets, and developing standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical and/or environmental consulting, including leadership and project management with focus on environmental due diligence and compliance.
• 3+ years of team leadership or management experience in a consulting or corporate environment.
• Professional registration (PE, PG, CHMM, or similar) strongly preferred.
• Advanced understanding of federal and state environmental regulations (CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPCRA).
• Experience with Phase I/II ESAs and environmental compliance audits and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Environmental Services Department with due diligence and compliance service lines.
• Supervise and mentor a team of environmental professionals across multiple projects.
• Oversee workload allocation, training, performance reviews, and hiring.
• Promote technical excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
• Oversee Phase I ESAs and Phase II investigations; transactional due diligence for real estate and corporate clients.
• Manage client relationships and ensure timely, high-quality reports.
