Job summary

Clēnera, LLC is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee environmental programs and risk management across a growing portfolio of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in the United States. You will coordinate permitting strategies, budgets, and regulatory compliance from pre-construction through operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of renewable energy environmental permitting, compliance, or environmental consulting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn company-specific software.
• Strong knowledge of NEPA, USACE, SWPPP, AQWD, CUP, SUP, SPCC, and FAA requirements and their impact to construction and operations.
• Ability to establish environmental compliance strategies for Construction and Operations that support portfolio objectives.
• Experience coordinating and collaborating with environmental consultants during permitting efforts.
• Excellent communication of environmental strategies, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental planning, permitting strategy, and risk management across pre-construction and construction projects.
• Support environmental workstreams to align with project schedules and portfolio growth.
• Assist with environmental permitting strategies and approval pathways.
• Provide leadership to internal and external environmental teams during construction and operations.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and scopes of work for environmental activities.
• Engage with federal, state, and local agencies and environmental stakeholders.
• Escalate complex environmental issues impacting schedules or costs.
• Support executive presentations and portfolio-level environmental recommendations.
• Monitor regulatory trends and advise on opportunities and risks.
