Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. (JBPCO) is seeking an Environmental Engineer to lead the company’s environmental strategy and assure compliance across multiple sites. The role may be based in Reading, PA, Houston/MI/IN as listed, with significant travel to other locations.

The position requires a strong knowledge of environmental regulation, experience with EPA/OSHA, and the ability to influence and partner with external stakeholders to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or safety engineering; graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of environmental compliance experience including EPA & OSHA.
• Multi-site manufacturing exposure is preferred.
• Ability to work with regulatory agencies and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of company environmental strategy and initiatives.
• Lead communication of environmental performance and programs with stakeholders.
• Develop and lead environmental training programs.
• Maintain environmental compliance policies and procedures.
• Execute assurance/audit programs for environmental compliance.
• Oversee investigations of incidents and drive system improvements.
