This role leads the internal audit program and requires a strong background in safety, risk management, and compliance. The position focuses on establishing safety policies, building ergonomics programs, monitoring safety performance, and fostering a culture of safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, manufacturing, engineering (safety engineering preferred), or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish safety policies and procedures compliant with laws and best practices.
• Develop corporate safety calendar and communications across units.
• Build ergonomics program with third‑party solutions and medical staff.
• Monitor safety performance and analyze data for trends and risks.
• Promote safety culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop safety strategy incorporating HOP and VPP elements.
• Participate in internal EHS audits and inspections.
• Deliver safety training for employees and contractors.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations; identify opportunities for best practices.
• Collaborate with leadership, operations, HR, legal, and risk management to integrate safety into processes.
• Coordinate company-wide programs (machine guarding, combustible dust, industrial hygiene).
• Work with procurement to select vendors for safety programs (arc flash, PPE).
