The Safety Program Manager will lead safety policy development, training programs, and internal audits to promote effective safety operations across the organization.

The role requires a strong background in occupational health and safety, risk management, and compliance, along with exceptional management and communication skills. Domestic travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, manufacturing, engineering (safety engineering preferred), or a related field.
• At least 3 years of occupational health and safety or safety management in an industrial setting, with experience in manufacturing environments and auditing
• Proven track record in developing and implementing successful safety programs and initiatives
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence others at all levels of the organization
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex safety concepts to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Ability to travel domestically 25-30%
• Accelerated computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strategic thinker and problem solver
• Self-motivated, results-oriented and extremely organized
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to interpret governmental safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA) and provide practical applications

Responsibilities

• Establish safety policies and procedures aligned with laws and best practices.
• Develop a corporate safety and communications calendar and content for all units.
• Build a company-wide ergonomics program with third-party partners and medical staff.
• Monitor safety performance and analyze data to identify hazards and trends.
• Foster a culture of safety through accountability and continuous improvement.
• Incorporate HOP and VPP elements into safety strategy.
• Participate in internal EHS audits and inspections.
• Develop and deliver safety training for employees, contractors, and service providers.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations; implement best practices.
• Collaborate with leadership, operations, HR, legal, and risk management to integrate safety into processes.
• Coordinate company-wide programs like machine guarding, combustible dust, and industrial hygiene.
• Select vendors and implement service agreements (arc flash, PPE, etc.).
