Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. is seeking an Environmental Engineer to oversee regulatory compliance and environmental performance across multiple sites. You will guide policies, lead training, and drive initiatives to ensure alignment with environmental laws and JBPCO standards.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with extensive experience in EPA/OSHA compliance and a willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or safety engineering or similar discipline.
• 10+ years of environmental compliance experience including EPA & OSHA; multi-site manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work with regulatory agencies to manage inquiries and actions.
• Excellent communication & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to evaluate complex compliance matters and develop corrective actions.
• Ability to engage, influence and inspire company-wide environmental objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of company environmental strategy and initiatives.
• Lead communication of environmental performance, programs, and initiatives with JBPCO and external stakeholders.
• Develop and lead JBPCO environmental training programs.
• Responsible for environmental compliance policies and procedures, including management system policies.
• Execute assurance/audit programs for environmental compliance.
• Lead or participate in investigations of environmental incidents and implement system improvements.
