Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. is seeking a Safety Program Manager to develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, training, and an internal audit program across 60 locations. The role emphasizes risk management, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with leadership, operations, HR, and legal.

You will lead ergonomics programs and stay current with OSHA/EPA standards, driving a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• Minimum 3 years in occupational health and safety or safety management in an industrial setting.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing safety programs.
• Ability to travel domestically 25-30%.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Establish, design, and implement safety policies and procedures compliant with laws and best practices.
• Develop corporate safety communications calendar and content for all units.
• Build a company-wide ergonomics program with 3rd party partners and medical staff.
• Monitor safety performance by analyzing data to identify trends and risks.
• Foster a culture of safety excellence with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop safety strategy incorporating HOP and VPP elements.
• Participate in internal EHS audits and inspections.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
