Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental engineering within the chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting and compliance.
• Experience designing and implementing pollution control technologies.
• Proficiency in environmental modeling and impact assessment techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Strong communication and remote collaboration abilities.
• Certifications such as PE are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pollution prevention and waste minimization strategies for chemical processes.
• Design and oversee environmental control systems (e.g., wastewater treatment, air pollution control).
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Monitor environmental performance and prepare compliance reports.
• Collaborate with plant operations and R&D to integrate environmental considerations.
• Research and evaluate new technologies for environmental management.
• Provide technical expertise and training on environmental best practices.
• Lead and participate in environmental audits.
