Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, pilot plant trials, and scale-up operations for new products and improvements.
• Design and specify process equipment using process simulation software.
• Analyze process data to improve yield, energy use, and waste reduction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical processes for large-scale industrial applications, ensuring compliance with stringent safety and environmental standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, pilot plant trials, and scale-up operations for new product development and process improvements.
• Design and specify process equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, and separation units, using process simulation software.
• Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement in yield, energy consumption, and waste reduction.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues that may arise during production.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and quality assurance, in a virtual setting.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on process design and optimization.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chemical engineering technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the chemical, petrochemical, or related industries.
• Proven experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mass transfer, and reaction kinetics.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments remotely.
• Proficiency in P&ID development and interpretation.
• A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
