Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support intelligence community data and cloud modernization efforts in Laurel, MD. You will lead architecture, requirements, and integration activities across the full lifecycle, collaborating with government stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable mission-critical solutions.

The role emphasizes DoDAF-compliant architecture, model-driven design, and SE leadership across programs, with opportunities to influence enterprise

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 5 years of substitution allowed.
• 20 years of Systems Engineering experience on programs of similar scope.
• Experience developing SOA solutions and DoDAF-compliant architecture products.
• Experience modeling, simulation, and prototyping to support design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and develop system requirements specifications.
• Develop CONOPS, system architectures, and SE documentation.
• Lead SE, design, integration, and implementation activities across the lifecycle.
• Guide customers in defining requirements and evaluating alternatives.
• Serve as primary technical lead for integrating requirements, design, and new tech.
• Develop SE plans, system integration plans, and test plans.
• Collaborate with Government leaders to resolve technical risks and issues.
• Communicate technical recommendations and project status to stakeholders.
• Conduct system trade studies to optimize performance, scalability, and lifecycle costs.
• Develop architecture views using DoDAF standards (Operational, Systems, Services).
• Utilize modeling, simulation, and prototyping to reduce risk.
