Job summary

Peraton's Systems Engineering team in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a seasoned professional to support cyber mission efforts. You will analyze user needs, draft operations concepts, and develop system requirements from high‑level architectures, guiding design choices and performing feasibility studies while ensuring system verification and IT support across server, storage, and network environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree in system engineering, CS, Information Systems, or related discipline; 5 years can substitute for degree.
• 14 years of SE experience in programs/contracts of similar scope is required.
• Experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
• Ability to implement comprehensive Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions.
• Ability to conduct end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize lifecycle performance.
• Ability to manage evolving system configurations (hardware/software).
• Ability to define interfaces for software (origination, destination, stimulus, data).

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs and draft concepts of operations documents.
• Develop system requirements specifications from high level architectures.
• Participate in design and development activities and guide users in formulating requirements.
• Advise on alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studies.
• Plan and conduct system verification activities.
• Provide support for IT system implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support and problem resolution.
• Configure UNIX and Windows OS and install OS software; enhance reliability and performance.
