Job summary

S2i2, Inc in Dayton, OH is seeking an Information Technology Subject Matter Expert (IT SME) focused on Enterprise Storage Management for the Defense Logistics Agency. You will lead the design, security, and operation of storage, backup, and disaster recovery across five DLA sites and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS) on NIPRNet and SIPRNet.

The role requires DoD/Federal experience, IAT II certification, and hands-on expertise with NetApp, Pure, NetBackup, Cohesity, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Must hold IAT Level II baseline certification or equivalent.
• Minimum two years in advisory/managerial role supporting DoD/DoW or Federal enterprise infrastructure.
• Minimum five years hands-on enterprise SAN (FC zoning, iSCSI, FCoE, HBA/CNA, LUN, RAID, NAS).
• Minimum five years hands-on backup/restore experience.
• Minimum five years working with DoD/DoW IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior technical direction for enterprise storage and data protection platforms.
• Set architecture direction and lead engineering teams across sites.
• Ensure STIG and IAVA compliance; brief DLA leadership regularly.
• Oversee SAN, NAS, object storage, backup, and disaster recovery across multi-cloud environments.
• Maintain availability, resilience, and security of storage infrastructure.
