Job summary

S2I2 Inc. seeks an Information Technology Subject Matter Expert (IT SME) to lead enterprise storage management and data protection initiatives for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

You will shape architecture, guide engineering teams, and ensure availability, security, and compliance across NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments. On-site role with a strong emphasis on leadership, defense protocols (STIG/IAVA), and cross-site coordination across five DLA locations, cloud integration (Azure/AWS), and

Qualifications

• IAT Level II baseline certification is required.
• Credentials in one of AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Dell DCA-ISM, NetApp NCDA, NetApp Hybrid Cloud Admin/Architect/Implementation Engineer, NetApp CIE SAN, Cohesity DataProtect, or NetBackup are required.
• Minimum two years in an advisory or managerial role supporting DoD/DoW or Federal enterprise infrastructure.
• Minimum five years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN (FC zoning, iSCSI, FCoE, HBA/CNA, LUN, RAID, NAS).
• Minimum five years hands-on experience with enterprise backup and restore solutions.
• Minimum five years working with DoD or DoW IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical lead for DLA's enterprise storage and data protection platforms.
• Set architecture direction and lead engineering teams to ensure availability, resilience, and compliance across environments.
• Brief DLA leadership regularly on storage, backup, and security posture.
• Oversee SAN, NAS, object storage, backup, and disaster recovery across multiple sites and multi-clouds.
