Job summary

S2i2 Inc is seeking an Information Technology Subject Matter Expert (IT SME) focused on Enterprise Storage Management. You will lead storage and data protection design and security for the Defense Logistics Agency, guiding architecture and engineering teams across on-site environments.

The role requires Active Secret eligibility, 5+ years storage/backup experience, and DoD IT systems familiarity. Expect collaboration across five DLA sites and multi‑cloud use (Azure/AWS) with compliance focus.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security eligibility with IT-I (Tier 5) consideration is required.
• At least two years in a DoD/DoW or federal infra advisory/management role.
• Minimum five years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN and backup solutions.
• Must have DoD/DoW IT systems experience and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for enterprise storage and data protection platforms.
• Set architecture direction and lead engineering teams across multiple sites and clouds.
• Ensure STIG/IAVA compliance and brief DLA leadership regularly.
• Oversee SAN, NAS, object storage, backup, and disaster recovery operations.
